Founded in the 1930s in Shanghai, Joint Publishing Bookstore has evolved with the times, expanding its role beyond traditional book sales to encompass diverse forms of knowledge exchange. In 2019, Joint Publishing invited HOMEHAI to create a milestone flagship store in Chongqing's Ciqikou. Leveraging its extensive experience in public space design, HOMEHAI reinterpreted the bookstore's concept, using advanced techniques to showcase its core values and provide a complex exploration of urban life and culture.
